Cautions:

The 'Survival Mom' website published an interesting article about the negative reprecussions of using Quick Clot that caught our attention. While Quickclot tries to keep their formula secret, it is primarily composed of agents such as kaolin/zeolite that combine with water. British Army Medics stopped using it because if any of it gets into your eyes it can cause cornea damage because it is such a powerful dehydrating agent. Celox products are thought to be much safer. However, some of the cautions noted in the article linked to above are worth noting, so you should read it and seriously consider some of the advice before frivolously using any clotting agent in the field.
