Smiley 1/2 Wave Telescoping Antennas

Half wave antennas are meant to be used for situations where you do not have a good ground plane (such as on snow or water, or standing on the deck of a fibreglass boat). These antennas are only available with BNC and SMA-M base types on them. They are superior to the 5/8 telescoping when you are on high ground, or do not have a ground plane when in valley bottom terrain.

Although they are listed as '2 Meter', they can be tuned through the full VHF spectrum as seen on the below chart (click to view larger version in new window).

HALFWAVE 2 METER

1/2 WAVE FLEX ANTENNA Super efficient VHF antenna show a OMNI directional 7 dbd gain. Smiley Antenna is using a newly designed flex coil matching network. This 1/2 wave antenna is light weight flexible and meets all the typical performance characteristics of the standard half wave monopole antenna. Outdoor range tests show significant gain over rubber duck Antennas. This flex coil matching network provides at band center low SWR as well as a + - 5 MHz from band center. This deign is incredibly resistant to the anticipated rigors of the end user abuses, while providing an efficient and stable radiating device suitable for today's receivers and transmitters below 25 watts.
